Post-mortem of prototype
Hello everyone, It has been a while since our prototype test of S.E.C. Inc. I received lots of opinions during this period of time. I will try to sort them out by following posts, here is one of them:
Monsters and items.
So far there are only 3 monsters at the version of prototype: Vampire, Ghost, and Werewolf. Yes, due to budget, it is too shame only 3 of them. Indeed it decreases the play time of this version.
Rare monsters with different color, or boss monsters are considered.
Items are converted from detained monsters. Ex. Werewolf Moon Cake is based on the fairy tale and a holiday middle-autumn in eastern Asia.
It is fun trying to design synthesis of those basic items to powerful magic: Moon Cake Note is synthesized from Werewolf Moon Cake. Which is based on a history story, in which rebels hide notes with a strategy plan in moon cakes to lead civilians to raise a revolution from inside the city. While players use this note, a Werewolf is summoned and taunts all the enemy in a period of time.
Charming Eye from Bat Candy is based on famous comic Naruto, in which main character always asks the others to "trust" him. When players use this item, all the enemies are confused for a while.
When players use Jelly Facial Mask which is synthesized from Slime Jelly, a slime ghost shows and recovers hit-point of agents, similar with the fighting function Ambulance.
I think more monsters contribute ideas to items, meanwhile exploring new items is always fun.
